IP Office: Staging
Staging is the process of receiving programmable items, such as phone switches (IP412 or IP406V2), then programming them into a plug and play state for the end-user. What we perform during a staging is:
- Upgrade to the latest firmware release
- Collect basic information about users/groups from customer
- Collect IP addressing information from customer
- Program the above two items
- Test all ports with actual telephones
- Install any additional modules purchased
- Install licenses purchased
- Program other features as provided by customer
- Setup and test server or workstations for Voicemail Pro
- Collect information for auto-attendants and pre-program
- Setup and test server for Compact Contact Center
Staging is performed at the rate of $65.00 per hour and is done onsite at our facility. Charges to ship programmed items to installer or end-user is additional. Actual testing of trunk lines and call routing is typically done when lines are connected and system is installed at the customers site - see "Programming" section.
